Tender chicken in a rich, peppery garlic cream sauce served over fluffy rice. This quick and comforting dinner comes together in just 30 minutes—perfect for busy weeknights!
In a skillet, heat oil or butter over medium-high heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then sear until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant. Add chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits. Stir in heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and cracked black pepper.
Return chicken to the skillet and simmer for 5–7 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats the chicken.
Spoon the creamy chicken mixture over cooked white rice. Top with chopped parsley and a dash of extra pepper if desired.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for the heavy cream. This dish pairs well with steamed green beans or roasted carrots.
