Campfire Banana Boats

Ingredients
  

  • 2 ripe bananas not overripe
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • optional add-ins peanut butter chips, crushed graham crackers, caramel drizzle
  • heavy-duty aluminum foil for wrapping

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Leave the peel on and slice each banana lengthwise down the center, being careful not to cut all the way through. Gently open and stuff with chocolate chips and marshmallows.
  • Step 2: Place each banana on a foil sheet and wrap snugly.
  • Step 3: Grill over campfire coals or on a grate for 8–10 minutes, until chocolate is melted and marshmallows are soft and toasty.
  • Step 4: Carefully open foil, let cool slightly, and dig in with a spoon!

Notes

Try different fillings like Nutella, butterscotch chips, or granola. Can also be made in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for 10–12 minutes.
