Italian sausage
mild or spicy, casing removed

broccoli florets

garlic

red pepper flakes

Instructions
Step 1:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente. Add broccoli during the last 3–4 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Step 2:
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sausage and cook, breaking it apart with a spoon, until browned—about 6–8 minutes.
Step 3:
Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4:
Add drained pasta and broccoli to the skillet. Toss to combine. Stir in grated Parmesan and season with salt and pepper.
Step 5:
Serve warm, garnished with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Use whole wheat pasta or turkey sausage for a lighter version. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
