Ingredients
  

  • 1 9-inch deep-dish pie crust pre-baked
  • 6 strips bacon cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup sweet onion thinly sliced
  • 2 medium tomatoes diced and patted dry
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup mayonnaise
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • fresh chives or parsley for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Step 2: In a skillet, cook sliced onion in a bit of bacon drippings until soft and golden.
  • Step 3: In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, cheddar cheese, cooked onions, and half the bacon. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Step 4: Layer tomatoes into the pre-baked pie crust. Spread the creamy cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining bacon.
  • Step 5: Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  • Step 6: Let cool for 10–15 minutes. Garnish with herbs and serve warm.

Notes

For best results, pat tomatoes dry with paper towels to avoid sogginess in the crust.
