Instructions
Step 1:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Step 2:
In a skillet, cook sliced onion in a bit of bacon drippings until soft and golden.
Step 3:
In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, cheddar cheese, cooked onions, and half the bacon. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4:
Layer tomatoes into the pre-baked pie crust. Spread the creamy cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining bacon.
Step 5:
Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbly.
Step 6:
Let cool for 10–15 minutes. Garnish with herbs and serve warm.
Notes
For best results, pat tomatoes dry with paper towels to avoid sogginess in the crust.
